Art inhabits space
In this issue, AreAArte encourages the debate and the dialogue between art and politics: a common thread explored through exhibitions, installations and artworks.
From the photographic project “MAXIPROCESSO”, presented to mark the fortieth anniversary of the landmark trial against the Mafia held in Palermo, to the events surrounding the Venice Biennale, different forms of testimony, protest and dialogue emerge, addressing the issues of our time.
At the same time, the magazine explores art’s power to transform the way we observe places, people and matter. This narrative unfolds through a selection of artists and exhibitions in our region: from the exhibition dedicated to Klimt at Villa Freya (TV), to Sebastião Salgado’s photographs exhibited in Bassano del Grappa, which depict the human condition and our relationship with nature, through to Giovanni Pinosio’s sculptures, in which art and space intertwine.
The issue is rounded out by a selection of exhibitions, artists and events across the region, inviting us to continue this journey of artistic discovery.
