The Digital Product Passport (DPP) is much more than a simple digital document: it is the product’s identity card. A system that collects, organises and makes key information accessible throughout the entire lifecycle of an item — from production to distribution, through to post-sale, repair, reuse and recycling.

Introduced by the European Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), from 2027 the DPP will progressively become mandatory for the textile sector, with the aim of promoting transparency, traceability and the circular economy.
